Nordisk salutes IATA's ULD Regulations

Nordisk welcomes the recent publication of IATA’s ULD Regulations as an important initiative in the long term development of the ULD industry.

As a piece of aircraft equipment a ULD must operate to exacting standards, at all times in compliance with the operating requirements of the aircraft, and with manufacturers, airlines, and repairers all being responsible to the aviation authorities for compliance on a multitude of regulatory requirements. Nordisk believes that while IATA ULD Regulations do not replace these top level regulatory requirements, it can provide processes and procedures that, once applied by the industry will greatly enhance ULD operations and deliver compliance with the requirements of regulatory authorities.
